The East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) organized its 143rd research seminar on September 24, 2026, at the EWUCRT Seminar Room. The event focused on advanced semiconductor simulation techniques, featuring a presentation titled "Contact Engineering and Device Performance Analysis of 1T-phase TMD (such as  ) with Metallic/Semimetallic Contacts Using Quantum ATK and TCAD Simulations."

The seminar was chaired by Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of East West University (EWU). Proceedings commenced with opening welcome remarks delivered by Professor Dr. Md. Sohel Rana, Executive Director of EWUCRT.

Professor Dr. Khairul Alam from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at EWU presented the core research findings, highlighting computational modeling techniques for next-generation transition metal dichalcogenides.

Following the keynote presentation, Professor Dr. A. B. M. Harun-Ur-Rashid from the Department of EEE at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) served as the key discussant, providing technical insights on the findings. Attendees then engaged in an interactive Q&A session.

The seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by EWU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shams Rahman. The event drew a notable audience of researchers, alongside faculty members, students, and EWUCRT officials.
